A Beautiful Bollywood Film! Yaadein is a gorgeous
Bollywood film that will warm your heart. I admit that the story is not
particularly original, but the film is so well acted and directed that you
don't mind the fact that there are no surprises. The story centres on a
widower (brilliantly played by Jackie Shroff) and his relationship with
his three adult daughters. The youngest daughter (Kareena Kapoor) falls in
love with a man (Hrithik Roshan) who her father forbids her to marry. The
strength of the film lies in the realistic portrayal of the
father/daughter relationship - the father veers between being too strict
and not wanting to refuse his daughters anything.
The soundtrack to Yaadein is stunning. The title song is incredibly
beautiful and there are also some great songs that you can dance to. It is
worth seeing this film for the music alone.
