| A Taste of Honey by Tony
Richardson with Rita Tushingham and Dora
Bryan |
Synopsis
A lively tale of a pregnant Salford
teenager, her mother, and her unlikely friendship with a
homosexual. Based on a book by Shelagh Delaney.
Review
It starts off as just another depressing
black-and-white drama, but it soon becomes a wonderful
affectionate portrait of the tough life of the North of England of
those times (the film was made in 1961).
Reviewer
In viewing the film, you can see why Rita Tushingham
was so highly acclaimed as a performer and an actress.
